1/9/2023 0 Comments Tweetbot vs twitter appFenix for Twitter alternatives are mainly Twitter Clients. Other great apps like Fenix for Twitter are Tweetbot, Echofon for Twitter, Gwibber and Choqok. The best alternative is TweetDeck, which is free. You don’t get ‘In case you missed it’, you don’t get sponsored posts, you just get tweets from people you follow in chronological order. There are more than 25 alternatives to Fenix for Twitter for a variety of platforms, including Android, iPhone, Mac, iPad and Android Tablet. The first thing to be said about these apps – whether you view it as a feature or a peculiarity to third-party Twitter clients – is that they prune out quite a lot of Twitter’s timeline enhancements/junk (delete according to personal preferences). We’re not sure if this is a limitation on how far back Twitter lets other companies search its archives (the most recent result was a little over a fortnight old), or if they are imposing quote marks themselves (Tweetbot’s interface implies that it is). Tweetbot is a third party client application for the social networking site Twitter meant for use on Apple Inc.s iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Mac platforms. Twitter, the service, has Twitter Blue available. For me the choice on price, especially at such a relatively low price point is an easy one. Its shortcuts are unrivaled by any other app out there, and its list integration and muting abilities. Tweetbot, on the other hand, is 5.99/year as you’re supporting a smaller dev shop which has been incredibly responsive to their users and changes in the Twitter APIs as they have been made available. We ran a search for “Tweetbot vs Twitterrific” (without the quotes), and neither came back with any results, whereas Tweetdeck searching exactly the same term returned lots. Best social networking app without any close contenders. One other thing: search is a bit funny on these apps. Twitteriffic has powerful muffle rules, better than Tweetbot's mute filters. Someone planning to pay £7.99/$7.99 or more for a third-party app is probably a Twitter power user who is more than capable of exploring an app’s features for themselves. Last week, Twitter announced the end of supporting Twitter for Mac.In response, Twitterriffic, a popular third-party application, immediately reduced the price of their Mac app to 7.99.Owning both Twitterriffic and Tweetbot, their main competitor for iOS, I decided to spend the weekend comparing both apps to determine which to use moving forward. All of this may not bother you, of course.
